Presenter Information

Oral Presentations

Preparing your presentation

As a helpful guide, we recommend that your presentation should comprise of one slide per minute or less. Please note that your Q&A time will be reduced if your presentation fills your entire allocated time slot, we request presenters please be mindful of their time. The program is very tight, and in fairness to all presenters, we will be asking session chairs to ensure that their speakers strictly adhere to time limits.

You will be able to view presenters mode on the provided laptop while presenting.  A podium, microphone and laptop will be provided and on-hand in each session room.

Uploading your presentation

Oral presenters should bring their talk on a USB, saved in a format for display on a PC within the Soiree Rooms (i.e. PowerPoint). You will need to load your presentation directly on the laptop located at the back of the Soiree Rooms.  A technician will be on hand to assist with any transfer / loading issues and to help you check your presentation. Please note there are no Macintosh computers in the presentation room – please format your USB drives appropriately (FAT32).

There will not be a laptop at the podium, but there will be a foldback monitor located on the floor by the podium so that you can see your presentation and presenters notes.  You will have a slide advancer and laser pointer available.  The AV technician will have you presentation loaded on the screen ready for you at the start of your allocated presentation time.
