Dougall is a cell biologist with a passion for live microscopy. He completed his PhD in 2018 and then two postdoctoral stints at the University of Cambridge and UNSW, in the fields of insulin-stimulated GLUT4 trafficking and cholesterol homeostasis. Looking to pursue translational research, he recently joined the lab of Associate Professor Michelle McDonald at Sydney University as a senior postdoc, where he is investigating osteoclast biology in the context of rebound bone loss following Denosumab withdrawal in the treatment osteoporosis, and cancer in the bone microenvironment.
